The Government SMS Gateway Service 15888 (mySMS 15888) is an initiative of the Malaysian Administrative Modernization and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) started in 2008 as a platform for Government agencies to deliver services through the Short Message System (SMS) channel.
The Government SMS Gateway Service 15888 (mySMS 15888) enables Lembaga Zakat Selangor to access an effective government service delivery system. How has LZS benefited from mySMS?
Cost savings in maintenance, monthly and annual fees.
Payment guarantee and notification on payment status are
received via SMS Receipt and zakat payment service. Meanwhile, reminder
notifications are notified via SMS announcements.
By using code 15888, rural areas with low internet access can
also get coverage more effectively through mySMS.
Example: Broadcasting disaster information and notifying of expiration date of driving license.
